Art of the Table: 4-day Retreat

Event Description

Glazed by hand, dyed with indigo, and flavored with lemon and thyme—this retreat invites artists and food lovers to create, cook, and celebrate around the table. You will glaze and fire 4 ceramic plates/napkin rings, dye linen napkins with indigo, and pour beeswax candles to create a collaborative tablescape for an epic feast.   Inspired by Mediterranean simplicity, Greek cuisine and local craft. This is a 4 day retreat held on Sept 18-21, 2025. Price of $575 includes all supplies, a homemade delicious Greek dinner demonstration and meal, 3 lunches, endless coffee and light snacks. Come and make your own beautiful ceramic pieces. Dinners for Friday and Saturday night are on your own. BYOB -- we won't be checking what's in your thermos :) Please explore the class schedule and information on the drop down menu above before you book so there's no surprises. You can camp for free onsite, or rent our beautiful bedroom (double bed) in the schoolhouse for a small fee - email us if you're interested. There's links to a couple of hotels in the area as well. We will gather at 4pm on Sept 18th to settle in to the studio and enjoy some apps with your fellow makers. Then - oh yes - Mike McColl will host a cooking class and demonstration for the delicious homemade Greek meal at 6pm. We'll wrap it all up on Sunday afternoon. You'll take your glazed ceramics home with you!
