Step into a world where creativity is on the menu and you get to try it all. à la cARTe is a four-day immersive art retreat designed for the curious maker—part artistic sampler, part soulful exploration. Each day offers the chance to try a new medium—bookbinding, leatherworking, stained glass, painting—and the final days allow you to dive deeper into the medium that speaks to your creative spirit. Set in a lovingly restored 1906 schoolhouse just steps from the lake, the retreat includes opportunities for introspection, artistic goal-setting, nourishing meals and laughter. You’ll return home refreshed, inspired, and more connected to your artistic path. This is a 4 day retreat held on July 5-8, 2025. Price of $275 includes all supplies, a homemade delicious Greek dinner demonstration and meal, 3 lunches, endless coffee and light snacks. Come and make your own beautiful pieces. Dinners for Friday and Saturday night are on your own. BYOB -- we won't be checking what's in your glass :) Please explore the retreat information on the drop down menu above before you book so there's no surprises. You can camp for free onsite, or rent our beautiful bedroom (double bed) in the schoolhouse for a small fee - email us if you're interested. There's links to a couple of hotels in the area as well. We will gather at 4pm on July 6th to settle in to the studio and enjoy some apps with your fellow makers. Then - oh yes - Mike McColl will host a cooking class and demonstration for a delicious homemade Greek meal at 6pm. We'll wrap it all up on Sunday afternoon. You'll take your projects home with you!
